We're kicking things off with great news: our project SMART-REC has received €494,105 in funding from the European Innovation Council, as part of the EIC initiative supporting Ukrainian deep-tech startups.
This is part of a wider European Commission programme — €20M allocated to 41 Ukrainian companies working at the frontier of technology: AI, robotics, biotech, cybersecurity. The initiative builds on the support launched in 2022 through the Seeds of Bravery programme, whose Seal of Excellence we're already proud to hold.
🔧 What will the funding go towards? Over the next 18 months, we'll bring our Smart Logistics Engine to industrial maturity — a technology that builds real-time, optimal routes for collecting recyclables from small-scale sources: condominiums, small businesses, offices. No sensors, no extra hardware — just smart math and our marketplace. It's the next step after proving that selling recyclables in small batches can be economically viable.
Today, the Recycle platform already serves 280+ clients — from housing associations to JYSK and Metro — processing around 150 tonnes of recyclables every month.
